Dujiangyan is a World Cultural Heritage Site, which was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2000. It is a World Natural Heritage Site, a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit, a National Scenic Spot, and a National AAAA Tourist Attractions Area. It is the oldest and the only water conservancy project in the world that has been in use for a long time and is characterized by damless water diversion. Dujiangyan City belongs to the central subtropical monsoon humid climate zone, with an average annual temperature of 15.2℃, an average annual precipitation of nearly 1200mm, and an average annual frost-free period of 280 days. There are four distinct seasons here, with no summer heat, and the average temperature is about 24℃ in July and August, the hottest months.
