Last week, the 2023 Chengdu Worldcon officially released the “The Stars and the Sea” co-creation proposal, one of the “Three Major Plans” for the convention. It has received widespread attention from sci-fi fans. Many sci-fi fans have reached us through emails, comments, and private messages to inquire about the content and details of the second plan.

Today, the "One Hundredth Light-second" plan is released.

For members who will attend the convention in person, if the straight-line distance from your hometown to Chengdu Science (Science Fiction) Museum, the main venue of the convention, exceeds 3,000 kilometers, you can send the your itinneray and contact information to onehundredplan@chengduworldcon.com. Once the staff confirms and contacts you, you will become a member of the “One Hundredth Light-second” plan.

The members participating in the "One Hundredth Light-second" plan will not only receive the walk-in reservation channel for the Worldcon opening ceremony and the Hugo Awards ceremony, but also can enjoy the free pickup service from airports to the venue (this policy applies to both the Chengdu Tianfu International Airport and the Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport), free shuttle bus service between Fandom Warm-hearted hotels and the venue, translation and international payment services, and other services provided by the committee. You will also get the limited edition digital figure of the Worldcon, a 2023 Chengdu Worldcon mascot doll, and a commemorative badge, etc.

Note: Due to the limited venue capacity and other factors, the Wolrd Science Fiction Convention generllay sets a maximum number of on-site attendees for key events such as the Hugo Awards ceremony and the opening ceremony. This year, if the number of people buying offline admissions to participate in the convention exceeds the maximum capacity of the venue for key events, the organizing committee will draw lots to determine the on-site attendance slots. The detailed process will be notified separately by the organizing committee.
