Notice on Epidemic Prevention and Control Measures for China-bound Travelers

Starting from April 29, inbound travelers may choose to take antigen tests within 48 hours prior to boarding other than nucleic acid tests. Airlines will no longer check pre-departure testing results. 

Please read carefully and follow the guidelines. 


Guidelines on Epidemic Prevention and Control  Measures for China-bound Travelers

I. Pre-boarding Test: All China-bound passengers are required to take nucleic acid tests or antigen tests (including self-testing with kit) within 48 hours before boarding, and only those with negative results are allowed to travel to China.

II. Customs Declaration: Passengers are required to fill out the Health Declaration Form on the WeChat mini program of China Customs (scan the QR code below), or at https://htdecl.chinaport.gov.cn, or via the China Customs APP.

III. Airlines will no longer check the test results before boarding.

IV. Self-protection during the flight: Passengers must follow the epidemic prevention and control requirements of the airlines throughout the flight, and take necessary personal protection to reduce the risk of infection.

V. Inspection upon Entry: Upon arrival at the port, please complete the necessary customs formalities with the Customs Health Declaration Code. Passengers with negative results will go through routine quarantine inspection by China Customs and no further requirements will be imposed. The customs will conduct sampling check for a certain percentage of passengers. Those having anomalies in their health declaration or having symptoms such as fever, are required to cooperate with Customs to do further medical examination and take related tests. 

VI. After-entry Epidemic Prevention and Control

After entry into China, you will have to strictly abide by the epidemic prevention and control requirements of the place where you stay.
