Online voting is now open for the 2023 Hugo Awards, the Lodestar Award for Best Young Adult Book, and the Astounding Award for Best New Writer. 

According to the Section 3.11.1 of the WSFS Constitution, only members of the 2023 Chengdu Worldcon will be able to vote on the final ballot. Members who purchase online or offline admissions to participate in the convention are required to obtain WSFS membership to be eligible to vote.

Eligible members can check the finalists by logging in to the 2023 Hugo Awards page on the official website. Click "Vote" to enter the Qualification Check. After verification, you can access the voting page.

In each category, there are six finalists and No Award, a total of 7 options for voting. The number 1 to 7 represents your favor of the finalists from the most to the least. You are not required to rank all the finalists in a category or vote in all categories. We recommend that you vote whatever works and/or writers you have personally read or seen that were your favorites. The Hugo Awards Subcommittee of the 2023 Chengdu Worldcon will also provide paper ballots and Hugo Packet for each category of the finalists. Members can also vote by filling out a paper ballot and mailing it to the designated address (the address is provided in the instructions on the paper ballot).

All online ballots must be received by October 1, 2023, 17:59 pm China Standard Time (CST, UTC +8)/September 30, 2023,23:59 pm Hawaiian Time. For the paper ballots, the valid date shall be subject to the postmark and the ballots shall be mailed before October 1, 2023 China Standard Time (CST, UTC +8). The Hugo Awards, established in 1953 and presented annually since 1955 by the World Science Fiction Society (WSFS) at the World Science Fiction Convention (Worldcon) is science fiction’s most prestigious award. The winners will be announced at the Hugo Award ceremony on October 21, 2023.
